Preserve Your Vision For Longer

What Does "Low Vision" Mean?

Low vision refers to vision loss that can’t be corrected with standard glasses, contact lenses or surgery. However, it isn't considered blindness as limited eyesight remains. Symptoms typically include blind spots, poor night vision and blurred vision. Low vision is commonly caused by age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetes.

Fortunately, people with low vision can continue living full and meaningful lives with the help of low vision aids and devices.

This was my first visit, and I was treated very courteously. Dr. Kieninger did a thorough exam and I... am confident in her diagnosis. Even printed me a Good RX coupon. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Couldn't have had a better appointment. It was very easy to get through and the staff were very prof... essional. I would suggest this place to anyone who asked me where to go to get their eyes checked or to get glasses that's for sure. Stop in and check this place out they've got a wicked amount of different eyeglasses to choose from.

The best eye doctor I've been to in years
- Nov. 08, 2022
I have been a Preferred Eye care patient for over 25 years. They are a full service optometrist, an... d have always been professional, and courteous. I am sure I could save a little money going to a cut-rate Dr., but I don't consider my eyes to be cut-rate. I feel confident that my exams are thorough, and any eye health issues I have, are discovered early, and treated before they become problematic. I have never gotten glasses that needed to be sent back because or a prescription issue. I have gone to other Dr.s, when my workplace required it for safety glasses, and they never seemed to get it right on the first attempt. Even if I brought them the script from Preferred Eye Care. Fortunately they have since allowed us to choose our own provider. Good job Professional Eye Care staff!!
